Recently, Highmark has received several reports of possible fraudulent online activity in which an individual posing as a Highmark Human Resources representative contacts job seekers by e-mail or phone/text, conducts interviews and makes employment offers on behalf of the company. In most instances, those contacted have never applied for a position with Highmark. These false job offers are likely made in an attempt to gain access to your private information, such as your social security number.

Please be aware that while our internal and external recruiters do proactively contact potential candidates about employment opportunities, even if they have not previously expressed interest in working for the company, offers are not extended until a formal, multi-phase interview and screening process has been completed. As part of this process, all candidates must complete Highmark's online employment application. Our recruiters encourage candidates to review opportunities and apply online if interested, but they do not make employment offers during initial communications. In the event that Highmark or one of its recruiting agents was to communicate with you by e-mail, one of the following approved domains would be used:


If you are contacted by anyone claiming to recruit staff on behalf of Highmark, please be alert. Refrain from engaging with the individual, especially if you have not previously applied for employment with Highmark, until the individual is confirmed as an official Highmark recruiter.
